As an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, I help individuals and families find ease and joy in cooking for balance. Through personalized 1:1 sessions, I guide clients in understanding their unique constitution and making dietary and lifestyle choices that promote overall well-being.
Culinary Education
Through educational workshops, I help people connect to their communities through food. I support them in sourcing fresh, local ingredients from farmer's markets or navigate the local grocery store, choosing the right foods for optimal performance, mental clarity, and sustained energy. I guide teachers and students on how what we eat affects the way we feel, think and perform.
Chef Services
As a chef, I provide personalized culinary services, including meal planning and preparation, to support individuals in maintaining a balanced and healthy diet in accordance with Ayurvedic principles.
Welcome! Meet Jess.
Jess Bailey is the founder of Bluelight Wellness; an offering that was created from her love of family gatherings centered around nourishing meals and good company. After teaching in the wellness industry for more than a decade, Jess turned her attention to a more holistic approach to health.
Jess's love of baking began as a child called her to pursue a professional degree from the Institute of Culinary Education in their Pastry & Baking Program. She continued her culinary training under world renown Ayurvedic Chef, Divya Alter, and currently works on Divya's professional culinary team.
Jess is a 500 hour yoga teacher specializing in Uniting Yoga + Ayurveda, is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor through the Kripalu Center, and holds certificates on Teaching Yoga in Schools as well as Postpartum Care with Dr. Nidhi Pandya.
She is based in New Jersey where you can find her at the local farmer's markets, walking her dogs, and tending to her chickens.
